If you’ve been to a festival, you know that making it to the bar and back to your friends without spilling your beer is almost a mission . So, we gamified that.
Let me explain. Voll-Damm is the official sponsor of the Mira Festival, a super cool digital arts and contemporary music festival in Barcelona. This year, the festival paid tribute to the 50th anniversary of teletext (Google it, young buddy). Instead of just being there, we decided to craft a 8 bit brand experience.
We teamed up with Raquel Meyers and Nicklas Storm to create a teletext-style game.
So we build a teletext emulator, designed the brand assets, the characters, the environment, the music—all in 8-bit or less. The objective? Grab a beer at the bar and make it back to your friends with as much Voll-Damm as you can carry. Pretty much the same thing our audience was doing at the festival.
